Criminal Department Solicitor

We are seeking highly motivated and skilled Criminal Solicitors to join our well-established team at Browns Recruitment Group Ltd. The ideal candidate(s) will have a strong background in criminal law, ideally be duty accredited and possess excellent communication and advocacy skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advising and Representing Clients: As a Criminal Solicitor, your primary responsibilities will include advising and representing clients in a professional and confidential manner.
  • Court Representation: You will be responsible for representing clients in court, including preparing and presenting cases, and negotiating with opposing counsel.
  • Case Management: You will be responsible for managing cases from inception to conclusion, including gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and preparing for trial.
  • Client Communication: You will be responsible for communicating with clients in a clear and concise manner, including providing regular updates on the progress of their cases.

Requirements:

  • Duty Accreditation: Ideally, you will be duty accredited, with a strong understanding of the criminal justice system and the ability to work effectively within it.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: You will possess excellent communication and advocacy skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.
  • Strong Background in Criminal Law: You will have a strong background in criminal law, with a deep understanding of the relevant legislation and case law.
