Sifted is seeking an experienced editorial professional to lead our news coverage of European startups and tech. As our new Editorial Director, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our editorial strategy, commissioning and editing articles, and managing a team of reporters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement editorial strategy for news coverage of European startups and tech
  • Commission and edit articles from a network of staff reporters and freelance contributors
  • Manage and mentor a team of reporters to ensure high-quality content
  • Collaborate with other editors to set the tone and direction of Sifted's editorial coverage
  • Work closely with the editorial team to ensure seamless production of news content

Requirements:

  • 3+ years' experience in editorial management, preferably in a news or feature role
  • Proven track record of commissioning and editing high-quality content
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Fluent English language skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
