Role SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Engineer with a proven track record in the medical device industry. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of our innovative products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute comprehensive test strategies, contributing to the delivery of exceptional medical imaging solutions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Collaborate with engineering and product development teams to thoroughly understand product specifications and requirements. Develop and document detailed test plans that encompass functionality, safety, reliability, and performance aspects.
- Design, implement, and maintain automated test solutions using industry-standard tools and methodologies. Oversee the execution of test projects, ensuring adherence to established timelines and quality standards.
- Participate in Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) activities to identify potential failure modes and their impact on product performance. Leverage FMEA insights to prioritize testing efforts and develop effective test approaches.
- Investigate test failures, analyze root causes, and work closely with engineering teams to implement corrective and preventive measures. Contribute to the continuous improvement of product quality and reliability.
- Ensure that all testing activities comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and quality management systems. Participate in audits and inspections to maintain compliance and drive process enhancements.
- Implement robust configuration management practices to control changes to test environments. Maintain accurate records of test configurations and versions for traceability and reproducibility purposes.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization within the testing lifecycle. Implement best practices and methodologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of testing processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Significant experience in test development within the medical device or automotive industry, encompassing optics, electronics, software, firmware, laser systems, and mechanical components.
- Proficiency in configuration management tools and procedures to ensure test environment consistency and integrity.
- Strong software skills and programming capabilities.
Mandatory:
- Continuous Testing, Integration, Development, Tooling, and Procedures.
- Over 10 years of experience in Software Automation test development on Windows and Linux.
- Automation Test System design, implementation, and deployment.
- Extensive hands-on programming experience in Python.
Desirable:
- PowerShell, C#, C++, .NET.
- Knowledge of test tools like Squish, PyWinAuto, Appium, WinApp Driver.
- Experience in fast-paced Lean/Agile project execution.
- Background in developing software for medical devices.
Optional:
