Department Overview
The National Society for Education (NS) operates as part of the National Church Institutions, focusing on developing leaders, influencing educational policy, and nurturing faith within the realms of school, church, and home. The NS team collaborates remotely across the UK, engaging in professional development for educational leaders, conducting school inspections, shaping national curriculum and inclusion policies, enhancing diversity among educational leaders, implementing the Archbishops' Young Leaders Award, and supporting children and young people in their faith journeys through initiatives like the Growing Faith Foundation and the FLOURISH project.

Role Responsibilities
This position is designed to provide daily assistance to the Head of Operations and CEO concerning charity governance and information governance. Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Coordinating and managing all governance meetings for the National Society, including scheduling, agenda preparation, and minute-taking.
  • Assisting the Head of Operations and the broader team in ensuring compliance with UKGDPR standards in daily operations.
  • Serving as the primary contact for Data Protection inquiries within the team.
  • Maintaining a close working relationship with the Data Protection Officer across the wider NCIs.
  • Overseeing contract management systems for consultants, vendors, and other stakeholders associated with the National Society.
  • Supporting the Head of Operations in the continuous development and review of National Society processes as outlined in the online staff manual.
  • Providing ad hoc training on data protection and best practices in information management to the wider team.
