The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse range of housing-related tasks, including providing comprehensive support to vulnerable customers to ensure they sustain their tenancies. This will involve dealing with complex cases, giving initial tenancy advice, and overseeing the administration and management of social housing properties.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage a portfolio of tenancies, ensuring that housing policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Provide excellent customer care and support to vulnerable customers, including those with complex needs.
  • Deal with confidential and sensitive matters, using discretion and professionalism at all times.
  • Work effectively with colleagues and other stakeholders to achieve team goals and objectives.
  • Maintain accurate records and statistical information, using case management systems and other tools as required.

Requirements:


  • At least 2 years' experience in a similar housing management role, with a registered provider.
  • Good understanding of social housing laws and regulations, including the Data Protection Act and Health and Safety in a social housing setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with a wide range of people in varying circumstances.
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as case management systems.

Desirable Skills:


  • Numerate and able to manage own workload effectively.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, be flexible, and use own initiative.
  • Awareness of welfare benefits and welfare reform.
  • Experience of effectively triaging enquiries and signposting clients where appropriate.
