Visiting Moderator - GCSE Physical Education (2016 Specification)

Pearson is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Visiting Moderator to join our team. As a Visiting Moderator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and consistency of our GCSE Physical Education (2016 Specification) qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct moderation of coursework, projects, and special studies marked by teachers in centres, using sampling procedures to ensure accuracy and fairness.
  • Undertake direct assessment of school-based components in the subject where centres opt not to make initial assessments.
  • Complete and submit centre reports to the Team Leader or Principal Moderator as required.
Requirements:
  • Hold a degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Be a qualified teacher with UK-based teaching experience in the relevant qualification and subject.
  • Have a high level of subject knowledge to apply the mark scheme.
  • Be able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Be IT literate.
