Located in the Southampton Office, you will oversee a diverse range of building surveying assignments across various sectors.


Key Responsibilities:
- Assist business unit leaders in achieving strategic goals;
- Engage positively with clients, nurturing and expanding relationships;
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality services that align with client expectations;
- Manage projects to provide exceptional services in line with company protocols;
- Oversee building surveying tasks, including surveys, dilapidation assessments, party wall guidance, and construction projects for new developments, refurbishments, and maintenance - from initial feasibility to design, contract management, and post-completion evaluations;
- Develop and manage planned maintenance schedules;
- Conduct quality assessments of construction initiatives;
- Collaborate with the Director to strategize service delivery for projects;
- Communicate effectively, offering sound professional advice to clients and project teams;
- Ensure profitable service delivery;
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive regional growth.

About You

Ideal Candidate:
Experience, Knowledge, and Skills

- Extensive Building Surveying experience post-MRICS qualification (MRICS preferred but not mandatory);
- Experience in Contract Administration within NEC contracts;
- Comprehensive knowledge and practical experience in delivering building surveying services;
- Strong understanding of construction procurement strategies, including tendering and contract management;
- Ability to act as Contracts Administrator and Employers Agent;
- Clear comprehension of legislation affecting building contracts;
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;
- Strong organizational abilities and adaptability to change;
- Effective problem-solving, negotiation, financial, and numerical management skills;
- Capacity to assimilate complex information and evaluate requirements swiftly;
- Proficient ICT skills, particularly in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
- Team-oriented mindset;
- Qualifications:
- BSc(Hons) in Building Surveying;
- Ideally MRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors);
