Role Summary:
The Senior Quantity Surveyor / Estimator will be integral to the financial oversight of various construction projects. This role involves collaborating with clients from the construction sector, engaging in business development, and providing precise cost assessments. You will partner with project management and estimating teams to ensure accurate financial planning and to optimize project profitability.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Develop and present comprehensive cost estimates and financial plans for construction projects.
  • Perform in-depth cost evaluations to maintain competitive pricing and profitability.
  • Track project advancement and financial outcomes, addressing any discrepancies proactively.
  • Engage with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to negotiate contract terms and pricing, while pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Review and analyze contract documents to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Prepare and deliver interim valuations and final financial accounts.
  • Support the procurement process, including the selection and onboarding of subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Generate regular financial reports and updates for senior management.
Qualifications and Expertise:
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the construction sector.
  • In-depth understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and financial analysis.
  • Exceptional numerical and analytical capabilities.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific software and tools.
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.
  • Willingness to travel to various project sites as necessary.
