Job Title: Employee Engagement Officer
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Employee Engagement Officer to join our team at ISS. As a key member of our People and Culture team, you will play a vital role in promoting positive employee engagement and working closely with Operations Leads to optimize people performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure confidentiality, privacy, and dignity are maintained at all times in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation.
- Manage a diverse variety of ER issues effectively mitigating any risks to the business, engaging ACAS code of practice, and limiting employment tribunals.
- Be the first point of contact to provide advice, guidance, and support to managers regarding people management cases.
- Work alongside the People and Culture team for escalation and complex people cases.
- Ensure guidance is in line with the organization's policies, procedures, and employment law, and that you identify the risk prior to decisions being taken to minimize risk, reputational damage, and financial exposure.
- Support managers in the review of correspondence and reports relevant to employee relations issues and, on occasion, take on the drafting of such documentation where expertise dictates that this is the most effective solution.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications:
- Experience in managing people.
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written), influencing, and negotiation skills.
- Able to make presentations, give advice, and communicate effectively.
- Knowledge of standard ACAS policies along with grievance and disciplinary resolution.
- Basic TUPE knowledge and/or experience.
- Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
