Azure Cloud Architect

Role Responsibilities:

The Azure Cloud Architect is tasked with developing and implementing innovative solutions tailored to our clients' needs. This role requires an individual who is adept at working in an agile environment and can identify growth opportunities for the Azure practice, both internally and in client settings. The architect should be proficient in presenting Azure services and solutions to diverse audiences, articulating their business advantages to foster growth within the Azure practice. Responsibilities include:

Collaborating with clients to define their Microsoft cloud adoption strategies. Leading cloud engagement initiatives. Designing high-level architectural frameworks based on client specifications for infrastructure and applications. Delivering product demonstrations and presentations to showcase our capabilities in meeting cloud adoption requirements. Acting as the Technical Design Authority alongside Technical Architects on projects. Providing project governance and mentoring team members. Presenting our solutions to clients through webinars and in-person workshops. Engaging with KPMG stakeholders to ensure comprehensive understanding of our solutions across the firm. Building long-term relationships with clients to promote Microsoft Azure adoption. Developing marketing collateral and go-to-market strategies to enhance our offerings. Collaborating on proposals and RFIs with sales and pre-sales teams. Keeping technical knowledge current through close collaboration with Microsoft account teams. Assisting in the recruitment process for the team. Proposing and developing new intellectual property for products and services. Serving as a Technical Lead in a specific domain within our cloud capabilities. Essential Technical Skills:

Demonstrated experience in leading technical projects (Cloud Adoption, Landing Zone design and deployment, Cloud Migration, Cloud Readiness, Cloud Maturity). Strong background in on-premises infrastructure, virtualization technologies, or applications. Proven expertise with Azure IaaS (virtual machines, storage, networking, security). Experience with Azure Backup & Recovery Services. Knowledge of Azure Governance (Blueprints, policies, tagging, cost management). Familiarity with Azure SQL Databases (Managed Instances, PaaS, IaaS). Experience with Azure Security (Zero Trust, Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, Azure AD, AIP). Proficiency in Azure Serverless and integration (Batch, Function, Logic Apps, EventGrid). Knowledge of Azure Containers (AKS, ACI, ACR). Experience with Active Directory (Azure AD, Azure AD DS, on-premises AD DS). Familiarity with Windows Server/Linux OS. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (ARM, Bicep, Terraform, PowerShell). Proven experience in Solution Architecture (Cloud, Security, Hybrid). Knowledge of Microsoft 365, migrations, and security. Preferred Qualifications:

Azure Migration expertise. Knowledge of Azure Security. Data Migration experience. Familiarity with SAP on Azure. Integration Architecture experience. Data Architecture knowledge. The ideal candidate will possess over 12 years of experience in cloud or infrastructure delivery and demonstrate:

The ability to build and maintain strong relationships while providing technical and operational leadership to deliver high-quality, client-focused solutions using Microsoft technologies. Experience managing the architecture, preparation, and delivery of large-scale projects and engagements. A commitment to fostering innovation within the firm and with clients, along with a focus on developing team members to reach their full potential and promoting collaboration across larger teams. Advanced technical knowledge and the ability to provide direction and training to others, participating in team practice decisions such as resource allocation, recruitment, and training. Experience in data center transformation, including the migration of applications, virtual machines, and databases. Proven ability to lead client engagements and manage technical teams effectively. Knowledge of modernizing applications and processes using the Azure platform and technologies. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and manage relationships in complex environments. Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and listening), with the ability to present information clearly and effectively to all levels. Capability to produce high-quality, professional presentations. Attention to detail and consistency in language, terminology, and style across documents. A flexible approach to work, focusing on meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards. The ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Experience engaging with C-level stakeholders effectively.
