Customer Service Representative

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our team at Reed. As a key member of our customer service function, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to our clients, handling a variety of tasks from order processing to problem-solving, and contributing to the smooth operation of our customer service operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Order Processing: Efficiently process and manage customer orders from entry to delivery, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment.
- Customer Enquiries: Address general customer enquiries and resolve specific issues in a polite and effective manner.
- Inventory Management: Coordinate with external warehouse providers and delivery/haulage companies to ensure seamless inventory management.
- Team Support: Support account and product managers, assisting them as needed to drive business growth.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate excellent relationships with all external customers, providing a high level of service and support.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to the improvement of current practices and the continuous development of the role, identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing changes as needed.
- Administrative Tasks: Perform office-related tasks, including the picking, packing, and dispatching of sample and small orders from our warehouse.
- Stock Takes: Assist in stock takes and other tasks as the role and business evolve.
Requirements:
- Customer Service Skills: Strong customer service and communication skills, with a polite and effective phone manner.
- Experience: Experience in customer service is advantageous, along with experience of working within an office environment.
- Technical Skills: Computer literacy with proficiency in Excel and Word, and experience with SAP is preferred but not essential.
- Soft Skills: Keen attention to detail, ability to prioritize and organize, analytical and proactive problem-solving skills, and a calm and helpful approach to all customer interactions.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively within a team and independently, with a clean driving licence.
