About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Consultant to join our team at Ramboll. As a Contaminated Land Specialist, you will play a key role in providing sustainable solutions to potentially contaminated sites in the property, industrial, hi-tech, energy, and transport sectors.
Key Responsibilities- Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessments
- Conduct desk-based research and site visits
- Prepare factual and interpretative reports
- Coordinate portfolios or Phase I environmental site assessments
- Phase 2 Environmental and Geo-environmental Site Investigations
- Scope site investigations and contribute to proposals and tenders
- Plan and supervise environmental and geo-environmental site investigations
- Assess and interpret soil and groundwater analytical data
- Conduct environmental risk assessments and detailed quantitative risk assessments
- Write interpretative reports and liaise with clients
- Remediation
- Contribute to remediation option appraisals, remediation strategies, and verification reports
- Provide a remediation oversight role
- Appropriate degree in environmental and geological sciences or a related environmental discipline
- Master's degree in an environmental discipline (advantageous)
- Previous experience of planning and supervising environmental and geo-environmental site investigations
- Prior experience in project management and delivery of due diligence projects
- Managing, supporting, and developing people
- Full clean driving license
- Experience with IT packages including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Numerically competent
- Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written
- Competent and efficient report writing skills
