Position Overview:
Our client, a prominent player in the Oil & Gas sector, is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to enhance their onshore Maintenance division, focusing on operations in the Southern North Sea.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Electrical System Assurance: Guarantee the technical integrity, reliability, and maintainability of electrical distribution systems, ensuring alignment with production objectives.
  • Maintenance Oversight: Supervise and facilitate daily maintenance of electrical systems within facilities, ensuring adherence to industry standards for hazardous area equipment.
  • Equipment Modernization: Identify and implement upgrades for outdated or redundant equipment, including the preparation of detailed budget proposals as required.
  • Strategic Development: Contribute to the formulation and execution of the Electrical Maintenance Strategy, emphasizing the integrity management of electrical assets.
  • Technology and Cost Efficiency: Advocate for the adoption of advanced technologies to boost production efficiency, manage expenditures, and secure optimal value from suppliers and contractors.
  • Project Coordination: Oversee and support electrical modifications and project activities, ensuring safe and effective execution in line with the Management of Change protocols.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with corporate performance standards and health, safety, and environmental regulations. Conduct internal audits and assurance surveys, reviewing completed work orders.
  • Competency Evaluation: Evaluate the competencies of Electrical Technicians and validate against the established competency framework.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Safety & Environmentally Critical Courses:
    • CompEx Ex14: Responsible Person with Technical Competence
    • SUEPEE & Intrinsic Safety or CompEx Ex12: Application Design Engineer
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline; Chartered Engineering Status is preferred or currently being pursued.
  • Experience: At least 3 years in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Power Generation sectors, either onshore or offshore.
