Job Title:
Startup Programs & Tech Incubation Director
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of our dynamic incubator program, ensuring its smooth and efficient functioning.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to refine processes and enhance the overall effectiveness of the program.
- Identify and select high-potential startups that align with WPI's mission and values, carefully evaluating their business models and growth potential.
- Provide expert mentorship and guidance to incubated startups, helping them navigate challenges, develop strategies, and achieve success.
- Cultivate a vibrant and collaborative community within the incubator, fostering connections and knowledge sharing among entrepreneurs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including industry partners, investors, and academic institutions.
- Track and analyze key performance indicators to measure the program's impact and identify areas for improvement.
- Connect startups with valuable resources, such as industry experts, potential investors, and target customers.
- Conduct regular progress reviews and assessments of startup performance, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Develop and nurture strategic partnerships with organizations that complement WPI's entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in a STEM field is essential. A Master's degree in a related discipline is highly preferred.
- 3-5 years of proven experience in program management, with a focus on supporting startups and fostering innovation.
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in the startup ecosystem or a related field is desirable.
