Ambulance Care Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Ambulance Care Assistant to join our team at South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust. As an Ambulance Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing patient transport services to our community, ensuring that patients receive safe and efficient care during their journeys.
Key Responsibilities- Driving Duties: You will be responsible for driving our ambulance vehicles to transport patients to and from medical appointments, adhering to strict safety protocols and guidelines.
- Patient Care: You will provide high-quality patient care, including lifting and moving patients, administering basic life support, and promoting a positive patient experience.
- Vehicle Maintenance: You will be responsible for conducting daily vehicle checks, reporting any defects, and ensuring that our vehicles are properly kitted and stocked.
- Communication: You will operate our communication systems, including radios and other equipment, to ensure seamless communication with our team and other stakeholders.
- Documentation: You will accurately complete and administer information and documentation as necessary, adhering to current General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) requirements.
We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and experience:
- Full Manual UK Driving Licence: You must hold a full manual UK driving licence with no more than 3 points for speeding.
- Customer Care Experience: You must have previous experience of working in a customer care role, with a focus on providing excellent patient care.
- Online Systems Experience: You must have previous experience of using online systems and email.
