About the Role

Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the preparation and serving of nutritious meals to our residents. This will involve maintaining food supplies, monitoring fridge and freezer temperatures, and adhering to strict cleanliness and food safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and serving of meals to residents
  • Maintain food supplies and monitor fridge and freezer temperatures
  • Adhere to strict cleanliness and food safety protocols
  • Support new starters in learning kitchen procedures and equipment usage
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous kitchen experience, preferably in a care home setting
  • NVQ2 in Catering or Food Preparation, or willingness to study for one
  • Excellent record-keeping and organisational skills
  • Ability to follow recipes and maintain high standards of food quality
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on kindness and respect for residents
