Location: Swindon
Role Overview: The Building Maintenance Coordinator will oversee the operations of the maintenance team, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations while promoting a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of building maintenance personnel to optimize resource utilization.
- Provide guidance to the repairs management team regarding resource allocation for specific tasks.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are completed within designated timeframes and meet quality standards.
- Conduct pre-inspections to assess the scope of work, duration, and necessary materials.
- Prepare comprehensive work schedules and define job specifications to facilitate efficient execution by the in-house team.
- Order both stock and non-stock materials in advance for complex projects to ensure timely availability.
- Monitor the execution of repairs in accordance with established policies and performance metrics.
- Collaborate with planners to ensure appropriate time management for assigned tasks.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Proven experience in managing and delivering a diverse range of building repairs.
- Familiarity with both direct and indirect labor forces.
- Expertise in diagnosing issues across various building types.
- Experience in budget management and cost control.
- Solid understanding of health and safety regulations related to construction.
- Knowledge of planning and building regulations.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated expertise in maintenance delivery.
- Valid driving license.
