Logistics People is seeking HGV Class 1 Transport Operators to join our team on a flexible, temporary basis.


Our client is a leading name in the logistics sector, providing state-of-the-art vehicles that ensure a premium driving experience.


Experience Not Necessary

Position Overview:


As a Transport Operator, you will be responsible for:

  • Refrigerated Transport: Safely delivering goods that require temperature control.
  • Route Management: Following established routes for the efficient transportation of goods between distribution centers.
  • Store Deliveries: Ensuring timely delivery of various products to retail locations.
  • General Haulage: Moving a variety of goods between different locations.
  • Manual Handling: Engaging in physical tasks such as lifting and moving items during loading and unloading.

Additionally, you will conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any issues to maintain vehicle safety and compliance.

It is essential to adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and compliance with health and safety regulations.


Candidate Requirements:


To be considered for this role, you should possess:

  • A valid HGV 1/C+E License.
  • A minimum of 6 months of driving experience in a Class 1 capacity.
  • No more than 6 penalty points on your driving record, with no DD/DR convictions.
  • Current DCPC and Tacho cards.
  • Knowledge of Driver's hours and Working Time Directive legislation.
  • The ability to perform necessary vehicle checks and report any defects accurately.
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to on-site health and safety standards.
