Job Title: Commercial Project Underwriter

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Project Underwriter to manage the underwriting process from enquiry to completion. The successful candidate will ensure an efficient and accurate assessment of credit risk, borrower applications, valuations, and legal aspects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the underwriting process from enquiry to completion
  • Assess credit risk, borrower applications, valuations, and legal aspects
  • Demonstrate excellent knowledge of LendInvest Lending and Financial Crime Policies
  • Deal with ad hoc tasks to ensure swift processing of cases
  • Ensure a high standard of service and communication with borrowers or brokers
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties and projects
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) and Conduct Risk
  • Ability to make quality lending judgements and articulate them fully
  • Credit Referencing Agency reports (personal and commercial)
  • KYC/AML/financial crime regulation
  • Commercial, property, and contract law
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent numeracy and ability to identify risks at an early stage
