As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design and management of a diverse range of projects across various sectors, including health, education, commercial, custodial, and residential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on the delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed to the highest quality, on time, and to budget.
  • Develop and implement innovative design solutions, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Manage and mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional development.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory requirements, applying this knowledge to improve project outcomes.
  • Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure project requirements are met and exceeded.

Requirements:

  • Chartered membership of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) or the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE).
  • Extensive experience in structural engineering, with a deep understanding of key principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams.
  • Advanced knowledge of structural engineering software, including Tekla Structural Designer, Tedds, STAAD Pro, Revit, Navisworks, and BIM360.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in project management, with a focus on delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve exceptional results.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective risk management strategies, ensuring projects are delivered with minimal risk.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop effective solutions.
