Primary Responsibilities

Key Duties:

- Provide technical assistance to Satellite pharmacy (medication transfers), Main pharmacy, and ED ward-based services.

- Collaborate with pharmacists to enhance medication optimization, conduct thorough Medication Histories, and deliver comprehensive patient counseling for those being discharged at the ward level.

- Engage in data collection and analysis for the project.

- Accurately dispense medications and ensure the safe and effective use of pharmaceuticals.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

  • Registered Pharmacy Technician with GPHC
  • Holds ACPT or is actively working towards it

Desirable:

  • Qualified D32 / D33 or NVQ Assessor
  • Four years of relevant pharmaceutical experience
  • HEE Medicines Optimisation certificate or equivalent

Skills and Competencies

Essential:

  • Proven post-qualification experience in hospital pharmacy
  • Ward-based experience (minimum six months)
  • Experience in training pharmacy staff
  • Supervisory experience
  • Proficient in dispensing and patient counseling
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with JAC computer system
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary team
