Castlefield Recruitment is currently working with a Public Sector Organisation to recruit a Procurement Officer on a permanent basis.

This role sits within the Commercial and Procurement team, supporting and assisting the Category Manager in completing commercial projects across the function.

The ideal candidate will have a background in public sector procurement and be looking to further develop their skillset within a dynamic and driven team.

The role offers a hybrid working policy, with a requirement to attend the office 3 days per week and work from home 2 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and assist the Category Manager in developing procurement strategies
  • Work with customers to develop requirements and create tender packs
  • Write terms and conditions for contract awards
  • Ensure all procurement and contract management activity is undertaken in accordance with corporate procurement processes
  • Conduct data and spend analysis
  • Utilise procurement frameworks
  • Liaise with senior stakeholders on a regular basis

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management experience
  • Background in public sector procurement
  • Solution-focused and proactive approach
