Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant - EYFS/KS1 Support

Job Type: Full-time, Long-term

Location: Islington

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a primary school in Islington. The successful candidate will work with students in the EYFS and KS1 settings, providing support and assistance to those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to students with SEN in and out of the classroom
  • Assist with personal care as required
  • Collaborate with Teachers, SENCOs, and Therapists to develop and implement individualized support plans
  • Participate in small group activities and general classroom support
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with students with SEN, including Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, and mild learning difficulties
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Compassionate and patient approach
  • DBS Certificate required
