Transport Supervisor Job Description

Are you a seasoned logistics professional looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Supervisor to join our client's dynamic team.

About the Role

  • Oversee the day-to-day transport operations, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries.
  • Manage and coordinate a team of 18 drivers, ensuring adherence to schedules and compliance with all regulations.
  • Monitor and optimize fleet performance, safety, and maintenance standards.
  • Liaise with internal teams and clients to ensure smooth communication and customer satisfaction.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance operational efficiencies.
  • Ensure full compliance with transport legislation, health and safety protocols, and company policies.
  • Cover other members of the team during holidays/sickness etc.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in transport/logistics supervision or similar roles.
  • Strong knowledge of UK transport regulations and compliance.
  • Good geographical knowledge of the South East of the UK.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with an eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in transport management systems and fleet tracking software.
