The Role

We are seeking a Finance Business Partner to join our Finance team. As a key member, you will partner with our Sales Division to build a financial understanding of sales performance in different regions and markets. Your responsibilities will include building and maintaining office-level P&Ls, providing commentary on performance against budget, and conducting ad-hoc analysis of sales performance and sales budgeting, forecasting, and investment cases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain office-level P&Ls and provide commentary on performance against budget.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis of sales performance and sales budgeting, forecasting, and investment cases.
  • Partner with the Sales Division to build a financial understanding of sales performance in different regions and markets.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization.
  • Provide insightful financial advice and analysis to support key decision-making processes and organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Strong core business skills, including influencing and stakeholder management.
  • Relevant financial or accounting qualification (e.g., CFA, ACA, CIMA, etc.).
  • Ability to present to and challenge senior stakeholders within the business.
  • Understanding of commercial positioning and ability to provide support and critical analysis around strategic plans.
  • Ability to synthesize large, complex commercial data sets into actionable insights.
  • Action bias with the ability to make judgments and decisions in complex and ambiguous situations.
  • Effective communication of financial issues to both financial and non-financial audiences.
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage own workload.
  • Prior experience of business partnering commercial functions.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with software-specific accounting policies (licensing revenue recognition, for example) and reporting metrics (ARR, GDR, NDR, for example).
  • Experience with one or more of the following: NetSuite, PowerBI, or Salesforce.

What We Offer

  • Salary range: £65k-£70k, depending on experience.
  • Flexible working: at least 1 day/week in the office (Cambridge HQ).
