We are seeking a dedicated Factory Technical Manager to oversee the technical operations at our facility. This position is pivotal in ensuring that product safety is upheld and that all regulatory standards are met.
In this capacity, you will spearhead the technical department, enhancing product safety by ensuring adherence to specifications and relevant legislation. You will be at the forefront of driving process enhancements, guiding your team in their implementation, and ensuring that customer expectations are not only met but exceeded.
You will collaborate closely with our New Product Development (NPD), Technical, and Hygiene teams, fostering excellent communication and teamwork.

As a Factory Technical Manager, your role will be crucial in prioritizing product safety and fostering robust relationships with both internal teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establishing and monitoring standards for food safety, integrity, and quality.
- Cultivating a culture of food safety awareness and quality among all personnel.
- Promoting a safety-first culture within the manufacturing environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Guaranteeing a safe working environment for all employees, advocating for safety practices.
- Conducting thorough site and procedural audits, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Overseeing that manufacturing procedures and processes are effectively controlled.
- Leading initiatives for process improvements and delivering solutions for ongoing business enhancement.
- Providing guidance and support to the Hygiene team to meet necessary standards and comply with customer codes of practice.
- Engaging in health, safety, and environmental training initiatives.
- Managing costs effectively through appropriate budget controls.
- Ensuring timely progress and completion of projects.
- Documenting HACCP and Integrity plans, ensuring team awareness.
- Demonstrating system development and improvement efforts.
Required Qualifications:
- A degree in Food Science, Technology, or a related biological science field.
- Advanced Food Hygiene Level 4 certification or equivalent, along with Level 4 HACCP certification.
- Experience within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector.
- Comprehensive understanding of factory operations.
- Strong communication skills, with fluency in English (both oral and written) being essential.
- A proactive approach to continuous improvement.
- Excellent leadership and organizational capabilities.
