About the Role

The Director of Conference Content is responsible for leading the development and delivery of high-quality conference content across various GSMA events. This includes working closely with internal and external teams to ensure the success of each event.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive the strategic direction, objectives, and positioning of each conference in consultation with key industry stakeholders.
  • Conduct research to identify market trends, hot topics, and conference opportunities.
  • Develop high-level themes and agendas for conferences through a rigorous research process.
  • Align content, themes, and positioning of events into a cutting-edge, original, and coherent value proposition that supports the marketing strategy.
  • Work with the event team to ensure cost-effective and high-quality running of conferences, with costs maintained within or below budget.
  • Input into annual budget planning process.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, including format, style, technology, and make recommendations to the events team.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a deep understanding of the connected technology industry, experience presenting research to senior executives, and experience managing content across a matrix system with multiple stakeholders. You will also have excellent knowledge and experience of speaker management, conference production delivery, and leading a team of conference content producers.
