Java Full Stack Developer Wanted

Avanti Recruitment is currently working with an award-winning digital agency based in Newcastle, seeking a skilled Java Full Stack Developer to join their team on a permanent basis.

This is an office-based position requiring on-site presence 5 days a week. You will be part of a team of around 40 and work with ambitious clients from the UK, designing and building market-leading web, mobile, and bespoke digital applications.

You will collaborate with a multi-disciplined team, taking ownership of project delivery. This role involves hands-on work across the full SDLC, focusing on the backend in Java, with exposure to the front-end.

Essential Skills:
  • Java MVC experience
  • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming
  • Some experience with front-end development (Ideally Angular or Vue, experience with JavaScript/TypeScript/React is fine)
  • MySQL or similar database experience
Desirable Skills:
  • Vue.JS/Angular experience would be highly beneficial
  • Hibernate or similar ORM exposure
  • Play Framework
  • C#
  • SASS/LESS
