Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Nurse to join the Health Protection Service (HPS) team in North Wales.

The HPS will work in partnership to respond to health protection measures and threats as required, and the post holder will work either at their designated work base or as part of an agile, patient-facing, outreach team at any location within North Wales.

Main Responsibilities

The post holder will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of evidenced-based nursing care, working collaboratively and co-operatively with others to meet the needs of patients and their families.

They will also assist in the management and organisation of their clinical area and participate in the education, development, and supervision of other staff members.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and forward-thinking experienced nurse with excellent organisational skills and the ability to work autonomously.

They will have a clear understanding of clinical governance frameworks and be able to implement evidence-based practice.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post, but English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Requirements
  • NMC registered
  • Experience of providing holistic nursing care
  • Interest in developing nursing skills
  • Relevant experience of Health Protection

The post holder will be able to travel between sites in a timely manner and have the ability to communicate effectively, work under pressure, and possess IT skills.
