Position Overview: Service Engineer

The Service Engineer plays a crucial role in our operations, focusing on:

  • Hands-on maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting of diverse water treatment systems.
  • Executing scheduled installations and services as per contractual obligations, as well as conducting standalone service tasks.
  • Occasionally responding to emergency service calls outside standard working hours.
  • Repairing existing customer equipment and setting up new installations.
  • Adhering to all Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
  • Contributing to the Team Performance Plan (TPP) and meeting proactive Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Identifying service stakeholders and confirming the technical and contractual scope of work.
  • Carrying out routine maintenance and chemical sanitization procedures.
  • Collaborating with project teams and Business Development Managers (BDMs) to facilitate efficient site visits.
  • Testing and commissioning all installations before leaving the site.
  • Providing clear explanations and demonstrations of equipment usage to clients.
  • Managing spare parts inventory and maintaining accurate records of parts utilized.
  • Ensuring all tools are kept in optimal condition.
  • Delivering value-added services aimed at cost reduction, enhancing operational efficiency, and minimizing Environmental, Health, and Safety risks.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a full UK Driving licence with the ability to travel and stay overnight as necessary.
  • Prior experience in the Water Treatment sector, specifically in servicing or installation roles.
  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant Equipment Service experience in an appropriate Electro-mechanical environment is preferred.
  • Capability to manage high-pressure situations on customer sites with exceptional communication skills.
  • Organized and logical approach to executing mechanical and electrical installations of water treatment facilities.
