About Our Client
Our client is a friendly young woman in her 20s who resides with her supportive family and requires assistance with her complex care needs throughout the day and night.
A significant part of this role involves engaging with our client in the community, participating in her hobbies, interests, and favorite social activities. This includes outings such as bowling, cinema visits, theater performances, and enjoying her beloved pantomimes.
She cherishes quality time with her family and care team, and at home, she particularly enjoys watching her favorite television shows and exploring various arts and crafts activities.
During the day, you will assist with her personal care, mobility support, attend to her clinical needs as necessary, and help her engage in her hobbies and interests.
Throughout the night, your responsibilities will include assisting with personal care, repositioning, closely monitoring her clinical needs, and providing comfort and reassurance to ensure a restful night's sleep.
Understanding her communication methods and recognizing her needs is crucial, as our client is non-verbal and communicates through body language and gestures. Patience and empathy are essential qualities for this position.
Our client has specifically requested female staff to join her care team.
To excel in this role, it is vital that you have experience in the following areas:
- A minimum of 3 months of prior care experience
- Medication Administration
- Personal Care
- Moving and Handling
Experience with the following clinical needs is preferred but not required:
- Tracheostomy care
- Oral suctioning
- Gastrostomy Care (PEG Feeding)
- Ventilation Management
- Experience with challenging behaviors
Available Shifts:
- Part-Time Days & Nights
- Day Shifts: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (2 shifts per week)
- Night Shifts: 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM
Compensation:
Weekdays: £13.00 per hour (Approx. £104 per 8-hour shift)
Weeknights: £14.00 per hour (Approx. £112 per 8-hour shift)
Weekends: £14.50 per hour (Approx. £116 per 8-hour shift)
Bank Holidays: £16.00 per hour (Approx. £128 per 8-hour shift)
