We are seeking a skilled and proactive financial controller to join a vibrant manufacturing firm in the Rugby region.

This role is entirely office-based, where you will oversee all financial operations within the organization. Your responsibilities will include preparing financial statements (annual and quarterly), creating forecasts and budgets, managing the profit and loss statements, reconciling balance sheets, and handling submissions to Companies House and HMRC.

This position embodies the typical responsibilities of a financial controller while incorporating elements of chartered accountancy.

As a pivotal role within the company, we require a hands-on individual who is willing to assist in the office during peak times or when colleagues are on leave.

This position is ideal for an ambitious candidate eager to take comprehensive control of the financial aspects of a small to medium-sized enterprise and who is comfortable in a full-time, office-centric role.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA)
  • Degree holder
  • Strong understanding of UK corporate tax and VAT reporting (essential)
  • Proficient IT skills, ideally with Sage 200 and the standard MS Office suite
  • Experience presenting to board-level stakeholders
  • A natural leader, positioned at the forefront of the financial operations
