The Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Responsum Global Ltd. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical design services for multidisciplinary building services and environmental design projects.

About the Job

You will work closely with clients and other professional staff across multiple disciplinary business groups to develop detailed briefs and produce reports for mechanical building services requirements. Your expertise will be essential in producing outline design, scheme design, and detailed design reports, including drawings and specifications, while integrating sustainability and carbon emission reduction strategies into projects.

Your Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, allocating workload, checking, and reviewing outputs, and evaluating progress against time and budget constraints.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge and expertise in the design of electrical engineering services, including systems and equipment design, calculations, and drawing production.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery and effective communication.
  • Stay up-to-date with design tools, such as Revit and IES, and relevant technical standards, planning policies, and British Standards.

About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Design Engineer who can work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. You should have a degree in a relevant discipline, such as Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering, and be Chartered with a relevant institution. Your ability to adapt to new challenges and changes in your work environment will be essential in this role.
