Key Responsibilities


• Conduct daily inspections of all fleet vehicles, including rental units, and document findings using the Vehicle App.

• Ensure that all 3.5 Tonne Vans are within weight limits by utilizing the weighbridge.

• Report any vehicles that are off-road (VOR) due to damage or defects.

• Inspect all related vehicle equipment, such as material handling tools, jump packs, fuel pumps, and enclosures.

• Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, ensuring efficient traffic flow and effective use of parking.

• Verify that all drivers are wearing the correct uniform and that vans meet cleanliness and company standards.

• Perform weekly checks and record all 21-day and 7-day notices in a shared Google Calendar with the Transport Team.

• Collaborate with the Depot Quality Manager or Depot Manager to review outstanding notices.

• Conduct weekly checks and download data from the HGV fleet, addressing any discrepancies.

• Monitor fleet stock (e.g., mirrors, lamps, bulbs) and reorder as necessary.

• Ensure the gritter is operational and clean during winter months, reporting any issues to the Regional Transport Engineer.
