Job Description

**Job Title:** Machine Operator - CNC Specialist

**Job Summary:** Fortis Recruitment Solutions is seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team on a full-time permanent basis. As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining complex machinery, ensuring high-quality production and adhering to strict health and safety protocols.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Operate and maintain CNC machines, Amada Punch presses, and other equipment to produce high-quality parts and products.
  • Conduct regular quality checks using micrometers and vernier calipers to ensure products meet quality standards.
  • Collaborate with the production team to achieve production targets and deadlines.
  • Participate in machine maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and optimize production.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency.

**Requirements:**

  • Previous experience in engineering or manufacturing, with a strong understanding of machine health and safety.
  • Experience operating CNC machines and Amada Punch presses.
  • General engineering knowledge and experience in machine operating and/or setting.
  • Ability to work a rotating double day shift.
  • Desirable knowledge of sheet metal operations.

**What We Offer:**

  • A competitive basic salary of £24,960 - £26,000.
  • Profit-related pay and a monthly production bonus, taking the total annual salary to £30,700 - £31,980.
