Job Title - Device Development Scientist

Location: Cambridge

Contract: 12 months

Hourly Rate: £94

SRG is working with a global leading pharmaceutical company to find a skilled Device Development Scientist to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct hands-on testing of devices to generate data on selected parameters, following agreed protocols and methods.
  • Operate laboratory equipment according to SOPs, manuals, methods, and risk assessments.
  • Manage a wide range of ISO 13485-related laboratory tasks, including change control, instrument management, inventory control, and troubleshooting.
  • Perform visual inspections of devices returned from clinical studies, following agreed protocols and methods.
  • Ensure familiarity with all relevant documentation (SOPs, instruction manuals, risk assessments, etc.).

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in the Medical device or Pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience working with device control system life cycles and device testing.
  • Experience working in teams to develop or troubleshoot drug delivery devices, analytical methodologies, or manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with mechanical engineering equipment and methodology.
  • Knowledge of the Medical device or Pharmaceutical industry.
