We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Factory Operative to join our client's production team at Eden Scott Ltd. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene on site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a high standard of cleaning and hygiene on site, adhering to food safety requirements and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Work closely with the Hygiene Supervisor to ensure effective pest control management and maintain a pest-free environment.
  • Assist in the completion of the hygiene schedule, including effective communication with department heads to identify and focus on priorities.
  • Ensure a high standard of cleanliness of site facilities, including office cleaning, toilets, locker room, canteen, and other areas.
  • Help maintain effective waste and environmental control, including good segregation and disposal procedures.
  • Coordinate with the waste recycling contractor to ensure efficient waste management.
  • Control relevant consumable stocks and maintain accurate records.
  • Carry out internal bulk tank cleaning operations on a scheduled basis, entering confined spaces.
  • Participate in site pest control activities and Integrated Pest Management (IPM) initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of hygiene best practices within a food manufacturing environment.
  • Pest control awareness and experience.
  • Food safety awareness and understanding of relevant regulations.
  • Excellent record-keeping skills.
  • COSHH awareness and understanding.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • FLT license is advantageous.

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm.

Hourly Rate:

  • £12.80 per hour.
