SEN Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a skilled SEN teaching assistant to join our team at Forest Academy. As a key member of our support staff, you will work closely with the class teacher to provide individualized support to children with special educational needs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide one-to-one support to children with SEN, helping them to achieve their individual targets and make progress.
- Liaise with teaching staff to plan and deliver classroom support, ensuring that each child receives the best possible education.
- Assist in developing each child's self-esteem and personal and social skills, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Deliver interventions, as appropriate, to support the needs of children in the cohort.
- Experience of working as a teaching assistant, preferably in a SEN setting.
- At least an NVQ3/diploma or equivalent in the field of child development or working with children.
- Flexibility and ability to use own initiative, understanding a range of duties.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to supporting children with SEN.
- Resilience, hard work, and self-motivation, with a good sense of humour.
- Ability to adapt to suit the needs of individual learners, with a strong focus on inclusivity and diversity.
