About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our Digital Defence Services team, working collaboratively with 4,500 digital, cyber and intelligence experts across 10 countries. As a critical partner to the UK Ministry of Defence, we design and implement secure digital solutions for multi-domain integration and data exploitation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse requirements and design software solutions
  • Implement and unit test code and supporting artefacts
  • Use software development tools, such as source control and continuous integration
  • Follow industry standard disciplines and best practices

Requirements:

  • Experience of coding in one or more relevant programming languages, e.g. Java, C#, Javascript, Python, C++
  • Familiarity with packages used by BAE Systems, such as ElasticSearch, NiFI, Python, MS SQL Server
  • Comfortable developing on both Linux and Windows
  • Experience with React, Angular, Neoj4, Active Directory, Kerberos, Keycloak (preferred)
  • Experience with the Atlassian suite of tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) for development, documentation, and Agile delivery (preferred)

Security Clearance: Hold an MoD/Partner DV (preferred) or be willing and able to gain an MoD/Partner DV. Be a UK National. Work on-site (London or West Country) in one of the customer's sites (4 days per week, essential, 5 days per week, preferred). Be willing to travel overseas.
