Job Description

Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Job Type: Temporary

Location: Various Schools across the UK

Job Description:

We are seeking experienced and dedicated individuals to support children with special educational needs in a classroom environment. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide individualized support to students with special needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to students with special educational needs
  • Assist teachers with lesson planning and implementation
  • Support students with behavior management and emotional regulation
  • Collaborate with other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders to ensure student progress and well-being

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding and knowledge of special educational needs and disabilities
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and keeping children safe in education
  • Patient and resilient with good skills in behavior management
  • Ability to assist children in processing difficult emotions
  • Experience working in a classroom setting or willingness to develop skills and knowledge using our CPD courses and learning resources provided
