Project Controls Engineer Job Description

Express Recruitment is delighted to be representing a Control Systems Solutions Provider that drives innovation and is a pioneer of control system and environment solutions. They are seeking a Project Controls Engineer to join their growing team.

The ideal candidate will have considerable experience and a strong knowledge of control systems and automated systems. Due to providing on-site testing and commissioning for clients, the role will require a full, clean UK Driving Licence.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and implement control systems to meet client requirements
  2. Develop and implement SCADA systems and PLC code to ensure efficient system operation
  3. Prepare high-quality documents for clients and engineers, ensuring adherence to industry regulations and quality standards
  4. Travel on-site to commission and test control systems, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance
  5. Liaise with clients, team members, and management at multiple levels to ensure effective communication and project delivery
  6. Provide end-user training to ensure clients can operate and maintain control systems effectively
Requirements
  1. Strong technical knowledge of control systems, instrumentation, and automated systems
  2. Demonstrable engineering experience, including instilling best practices and following industry regulations
  3. Considerable experience working with control systems in an industrial environment
  4. Strong communication abilities, both written and verbally, including being able to communicate with clients, team members, and management at all levels
  5. Full, clean UK Driving Licence
Working Arrangements

Hours: 40 hours a week. Mandatory working periods:

  1. Monday – Thursday 9:30am – 4:00pm
  2. Friday 9:30am – 1:00pm

Salary: Up to c£60,000 per annum D.O.E

Location: Derbyshire

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
