Financial Institutions Analyst

This is a remarkable opportunity for an individual who is driven and eager to engage in a fast-paced environment while contributing to our Investment Banking division.
The EMEA Financial Institutions Group (FIG) is tasked with the origination and execution of both public and private mergers and acquisitions (M&A) as well as capital markets transactions involving corporate entities, financial sponsors, and governmental clients. We maintain essential relationships with many of the leading clients in the EMEA financial services sector, assisting them in achieving their corporate strategies through M&A and capital markets transactions.
Our responsibilities encompass the origination and execution of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and capital markets transactions, in addition to providing premier corporate broking services across the FIG client base, collaborating with colleagues from various product teams.
As an Experienced Analyst in Investment Banking within the FIG Insurance team, you will play a crucial role in the origination and execution of investment banking mandates across all major product areas. Your duties will include addressing client requirements, contributing to the enhancement of J.P. Morgan's franchise and reputation in the market, and working alongside various teams to develop client strategies. You will also be responsible for constructing detailed financial models, analyzing market data, and preparing client presentations. Under the mentorship of senior team leaders, you will oversee client transactions from initial pitch to completion, prepare comprehensive valuation analyses, models, and presentations, and devise innovative solutions to complex business challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct extensive and intricate valuation and analytical tasks
- Assist in the preparation of presentation materials, management presentations, Board documents, memorandums, and other materials for M&A and capital markets transactions or strategic client discussions
- Facilitate transactions: support due diligence, document preparation, negotiation, and liaise with relevant counterparts at the client or other advisors (accounting, legal, etc.)
- Stay informed on key market and regulatory developments while establishing knowledge of the target client base and relevant market dynamics
- Provide training, coaching, and mentorship to junior colleagues
- Experience in investment banking with a focus on financial institutions and the insurance sector
- Strong financial analysis and modeling capabilities
- Comprehensive understanding of investment banking products
- Experience in client interactions and collaboration with other transactional advisors
- Team-oriented with excellent communication and project management skills
- Proficient technology skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to quickly adapt to new software applications
- Proficiency in foreign languages
