Aviation Security Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Consultant in Aviation Security to join our Security Advisory practice in the UKIMEA region.
About the RoleAs a Senior Consultant, you will work closely with our aviation security team and clients in the aviation sector to develop and implement our aviation security offering. You will assist clients in evaluating and managing security risks in the design and operation of airport infrastructure, including engagement with regulators and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the development and implementation of the strategic direction for our aviation security service offering
- Work extensively with and in front of clients in the aviation sector to understand their needs and partner with them in the development and implementation of proportionate, sustainable, and innovative solutions
- Develop a pipeline of fee-earning work in aviation security and be the principal consultant for the delivery of these commissions
- Have responsibility for line management, management of performance, and career development of team members
- A well-credentialled, technically excellent, and inspiring leader with a qualification in security risk management, political science, international relations, terrorism studies, or an engineering discipline
- A track record in professional services consultancy with experience of developing opportunities, a strong win-rate in conversion to fee-earning commissions, excellence in all parts of client delivery, and success in growing client accounts through repeat commissions
- Recognised as a subject-matter expert with an interest in applying skills across a broad range of tasks and projects, working in partnership with many different specialists
- The ability to convey complex technical information and concepts clearly and to all levels of an organisation, with a particular focus on conveying information to non-experts and excellence in report-writing, oral communication, and visual presentation skills
- The ability to effectively assess and evaluate physical and personnel security risk through threat, vulnerability, and risk assessment, and to develop proportionate, sustainable, and innovative solutions to treat and manage risk that also answer to other design and operational criteria
- An appreciation of design of engineering infrastructure and systems, particularly in the aviation sector
