Job Opportunity at British Garden Centres

We are seeking a skilled Cook/Chef to join our team at British Garden Centres. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality meals to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to meet customer demand.
  • Work collaboratively with the Chef and other Cooks to ensure efficient food preparation and presentation.
  • Monitor portion sizes and waste to maintain profitability.
  • Restock pantry and fridge/freezer as necessary to maintain a well-stocked kitchen.
  • Take deliveries and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Requirements:
  • Experience working in a commercial catering environment.
  • Knowledge of carvery and HACCP procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of allergens, meat weights, and portion control.
  • Professionalism and reliability, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Good time management and basic food hygiene certification.
