Vacancy Overview

We are seeking a skilled Shop Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Greggs. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our shop equipment and facilities.

About the Role

  • Carry out preventative, routine, and emergency maintenance work on equipment in our shops
  • Ensure all on-site mechanical and electrical equipment is working effectively and efficiently
  • Carry out regular maintenance work, day-to-day repair of shop equipment, electrical repairs, and modifications
  • Minimise machine downtime while repairs are carried out for a group of approximately 80 shops

Requirements

  • 17th Edition Electrician Qualification (ideally)
  • Significant experience in installations, electrical repair, fault finding, preventative maintenance, and continuous improvements
  • Good organisational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task and carry out a varied workload in all trades
  • Full UK Driving Licence is essential
  • Knowledge of Food Safety & SHE
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexibility in working hours (as may be required to work different shifts each week or asked to work overtime)
  • IT skills including Microsoft 365; SharePoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams
