This role involves close collaboration with both educators and learners to effectively navigate any obstacles that students may encounter.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate individualized or small group support sessions aimed at enhancing coping mechanisms, emotional stability, and self-care practices.
  • Contribute to the formulation and execution of tailored educational strategies for students facing mental health issues.
  • Track and assess students' development, ensuring clear communication with teaching staff regarding their progress.
  • Uphold confidentiality and comply with all pertinent privacy and safeguarding regulations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in educational or mental health environments, particularly with children or adolescents. Candidates with experience supporting adults with similar challenges are also encouraged to apply.
  • Comprehensive understanding of mental health conditions impacting students, such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and trauma.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with a talent for establishing rapport with both students and colleagues.
  • Capability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations and effectively manage crises.
  • Dedication to continuous professional growth and staying updated on best practices in mental health support.
  • Team Teach training is advantageous; we also offer these courses regularly.

Staff will operate during term time, with hours from 08:30 to 15:30.
