About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Content Editor to join our team at Reach PLC. As a Content Editor, you will play a key role in shaping the editorial direction of our publications and ensuring that our content is engaging, accurate, and meets the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize and manage the publishing of fresh, engaging, and accurate content for our publications.
  • Brief and manage a team of reporters to deliver high-quality content, including words, pictures, video, data, and interactives.
  • Work closely with the editorial team to develop and implement content strategies that drive audience engagement and growth.
  • Ensure that our website and social media channels have compelling content that aligns with our audience data and trends.
  • Support and guide the editorial team in their daily, weekly, and monthly tasks, from 1:1s and team briefings to career development and promotions.
Requirements
  • Experience as a senior qualified journalist with exceptional media law knowledge.
  • A strong track record of telling stories accurately, engaging large audiences, and a real passion for digital storytelling.
  • A sharp news sense, excellent accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • The skills to be a supportive people manager, guiding and encouraging the team to get the best out of them.
  • Social media savvy with an excellent understanding of SEO, search, social, and digital audience behavior.
  • The ability to create and edit accurate copy at pace, meeting deadlines with ease.
