Job Overview

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide professional HR support and guidance to clients, including advice on employment law, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist in the preparation and management of Employee Relations cases, Hearings, Appeals, and Employment Tribunals to achieve satisfactory outcomes for clients.
  • Conduct investigations and work with investigating officers to address grievances, harassment, bullying, and discipline issues.
  • Support clients in their transition from school to academy status, ensuring compliance with TUPE legislation.
  • Contribute to the development of new policies and procedures related to employment matters and casework.
  • Participate in the recruitment process for senior staff, as required.
  • Design, deliver, and evaluate training sessions for school-based staff, governors, and clients to ensure effective implementation of employment legislation, education staffing regulations, and best practice in staff management.

Requirements

  • Evidence of ongoing professional development in Human Resources and Employment Law.
  • Proven experience in HR, with a strong focus on customer service.
  • Sound practical experience in advising on complex disciplinary, grievance, bullying, and harassment, capability, redundancy, TUPE, and terms and conditions of employment issues.
  • Ability to handle difficult and sensitive situations with tact and professionalism.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Flexibility to work Monday to Friday, with the possibility of part-time arrangements.
  • A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle for travel to meetings.
