Highways Materials Assessment Specialist (Field Inspections & Evaluations) (Remote Position)


We are seeking a qualified Highways Materials Assessment Specialist to join a prominent provider of testing, inspection, and certification services within the construction sector.

This position is primarily remote but will necessitate frequent visits to client locations to deliver technical evaluations and inspection services, supported by our two UK offices.

Candidates with experience in Highways products in any of the following areas will be particularly valued:
HIGH FRICTION SURFACING SYSTEMS, THIN SURFACING, CRACK & PATCH REPAIR SYSTEMS, or MANHOLE REINSTATEMENT SYSTEMS.



About You:


We are looking for a Highways Materials Assessment Specialist who is dedicated to excellence and plays a vital role in enhancing our client service.

You should be comfortable in a structured setting while also being adaptable when required.

Additionally, you should be capable of working autonomously or collaboratively within a team and possess the confidence to propose enhancements for improved efficiency.


Key Responsibilities:


Your main responsibilities will include conducting product evaluations in accordance with the company's highways scheme requirements, preparing site investigation reports on faulty installations, performing general highways inspections on-site, ensuring adherence to pre-defined scheme standards, and achieving the necessary productivity levels while maintaining inspection quality.


Essential Skills and Technical Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of Construction/Highways Product Installation Techniques.
  • Experience in performing field-based product/site inspections and evaluations.
  • Technical expertise in Highways products (particularly HIGH FRICTION SURFACING SYSTEMS, THIN SURFACING, CRACK & PATCH REPAIR SYSTEMS, or MANHOLE REINSTATEMENT SYSTEMS).
  • Strong communication abilities.
  • A relevant qualification (minimum HNC).
