About the Role

Carmichael UK is seeking a highly skilled Consents Engineer to join our team in West London. As a key member of our Integrated Project Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with Utility Agreements (U&As) for a billion-pound station upgrade project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain the Commitments Compliance Plan, ensuring a current approach to U&A management.
  • Populate and regularly issue the Commitment Compliance Plan Baseline Register with relevant evidence for U&A compliance.
  • Attend HS2 monthly Baseline Review meetings and U&A Compliance Group meetings.
  • Provide U&A input during subcontract Package procurement and Works Package delivery meetings.
  • Engage with Subcontractors to ensure operational compliance with U&As.
  • Review the Commitment Compliance Plan Baseline Register for compliance and certify Works Package completion for U&As.
  • Discharge U&As back to HS2 once completed and manage Land-related Consents issues and associated handback activities.
  • Collaborate with the IPT to improve U&A compliance management and gain exposure to delivery subcontracts.
Person Specification
  • Knowledge of the construction industry and its activities.
  • Ability to provide technical assistance within an Integrated Project Team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Engineering or technical ability and willingness to learn new concepts.
